One of the most statistically significant predictors of strong market value (i.e., stock price) is the percentage of new products (less than 3 year old) in the organization’s current revenue mix.
Companies that can effectively bring highly differentiated new products to market experience higher profit margins, greater market share, and better returns. The most difficult part of this process is maintaining a sufficient level of innovation within the organization to support the growth engine, as it takes thousands of ideas to find a few gems.
Innovator can be configured with a set of innovation modules that help facilitate this process more effectively. The new-product module contains capture templates for the most common innovations, such as new-to-world, new-to-company, as well as the mechanisms for handling thousands of raw ideas through a hierarchical review process that finds the most promising breakthroughs. Routing begins at the Innovator level and proceeds through Experts to various Review Committees. Along the way, innovations are benchmarked against appropriate analysis questions. E-mail messaging (as opposed to tasks) increases collaboration and communication.
